Our freeze policy

A freeze is a courtesy we offer for unexpected travel and life events. Please communicate in advance of when you need it. We don't apply freezes retroactively. Read these rules before submitting; the form will enforce them.

Submit 1 week ahead
If you need a freeze less than 1 week away, check the "This is an emergency" box in the form below (injury or family emergency only).

7 to 30 days
Freezes must be at least 7 days and no longer than 30 days. Need more time? See the note below.

No retroactive freezes
We can't apply a freeze to dates that have already passed. Please communicate in advance of your time off so we can help within policy.

For life events, not credit extensions
Maximum 4 freezes per year, one per season. Freezes are for unexpected life events. They can't be used to extend credits beyond your membership contract length. Want longer-lasting credits? See the class pack option below.

A courtesy, not a guarantee
Each request is reviewed against your history and our policy. We reserve the right to deny.

Be specific, we reply in 2 days
Include dates, locations, and context. The more we know, the faster we can review. Usually within 2 business days.

Need more than 30 days?
A freeze probably isn't the right option. You have two paths depending on whether you're still inside your initial contract:

Outside your contract (month-to-month, or commitment fulfilled) → just cancel and rejoin whenever you're ready. No fee.

Still inside your initial contract → convert to month-to-month and end early, with a small fee equal to the monthly difference between your committed rate and the month-to-month rate.

Want credits that last longer?
If you travel a lot, want flexibility, or need credits to last past your contract, a class pack is probably a better fit. Class packs don't expire monthly. Heads up: if your freeze is approved, all future bookings will be cancelled
Every class you've booked — including ones past your freeze end date — will be automatically cancelled by Momence when we apply the freeze. This is system logic on Momence's end and there's no workaround on our side. You'll need to rebook those classes once your freeze ends. Please freeze with caution.
