Finding us
Our Emory studio is at 1583 N Decatur Road in Emory Village. It is around the corner from the Emory University campus and the CDC, which puts it within a short drive or walk for people who live or work in Druid Hills, Decatur, Emory Village, Virginia-Highland, Morningside-Lenox Park, Lake Claire, Candler Park, and Toco Hills.
Parking at Emory Village
Free on-site parking at the Emory Village studio, no meter and no permit needed. If you have not been to Emory Village before, allow yourself a few extra minutes on your first visit so you can find the lot and get oriented before class.
Inside the studio
The Emory studio is a full Pilates studio: Reformers, Tower units, a Cadillac, a Wunda chair, and a ladder barrel. That range of equipment lets us teach group Reformer plus Tower classes, semiprivate work, and private sessions all in the same building.
Who you might see teach
The Emory team is a mix of long-tenured and newer instructors, each certified through a comprehensive Pilates program. Every instructor on the schedule is comprehensively certified (600 hours or more), and several hold the NPCT (Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher) credential. See the full team at Emory Village.
What to bring on day one
- Grippy socks, mandatory on the Reformer. If you forget, we sell them at the front desk.
- A water bottle. There is a filtered station at the studio.
- Fitted clothes you can move in. Nothing too loose, no zippers on the back (they catch on the carriage).
- Ten extra minutes on day one. A front-desk instructor will walk you around the Reformer and answer questions before class starts.
Getting to Emory Village
The studio is on N Decatur Road in Emory Village. Coming from the Emory University campus or the CDC, you are heading a short distance west on N Decatur Road. Coming from Decatur, you are heading east on the same road. Coming from Virginia-Highland or Morningside, you are heading east through the neighborhoods to reach N Decatur Road. Coming from Buckhead or points north, plan for a slightly longer drive through midtown or the surface streets.
Who takes class here
The Emory studio serves the Emory University area (students, faculty, staff, and neighbors), plus everyone from first-time movers to physical-therapy referrals, prenatal and postpartum members, and clients cross-training for other sports. Beginners are the norm on this schedule, not the exception.
