One on One Pilates

Private sessions, built around you

Solo, duet, trio, or quartet. Whatever works for you and your people, train with one of our trainers on your schedule.

Targeted programming

Your trainer builds every session around your goals: strength, mobility, post-injury recovery, prep for a race, you name it.

Bring your people

Train with a friend, partner, or small crew. Per-person rates drop the bigger your group, and the energy is unmatched.

Your schedule

Book any open slot directly, or tell us what works and we'll find a fit. No locked class times, no waitlists.

Who it's for

Great for everyone, especially

Private training is where Pilates gets personal. Here's where one-on-one (or small-group) sessions really shine.

Athletes & athletic conditioning

Build sport-specific strength, mobility, and injury resilience. Whether you're training for a race, a season, or just to keep up with your weekend league, our trainers can program around what your sport actually demands.

Post-PT or working with a PT

Bridge the gap between physical therapy and full activity. Your PT can hand off notes directly to our trainers so we keep you on their plan, continue PT-directed work, and make sure everyone's on the same page as you progress.

Coordinated with your PT

Form & modifications for your body

Tall, petite, postpartum, prenatal, recovering from surgery, or working around a chronic issue. Pilates adapts to every body, and a private session is the fastest way to learn the modifications that work for you specifically, so group classes feel right too.

Personalized for your body

Advanced work & the Cadillac

Take your practice further. Master advanced reformer choreography, drill skills you can't safely work on in a group setting, or finally try hanging from the Cadillac like the videos you've been watching online. (It's harder than it looks. We'll teach you how.)

Pick your focus

What you can work on

Privates aren't built around class formats — they're built around you. Pick a focus and your trainer designs the session around it. Mix two, swap mid-package, or change focus week to week.

Skill-building
Strength & confidence for group classes
New to Pilates or feeling lost in group? Build the foundation: spring tension, breath, alignment, and the moves you keep seeing. Walk into your next group class feeling sure of yourself.
Skill-building
Advanced repertoire
Tackle Level III choreography, Cadillac work, and the harder variations you can't safely drill in a group setting. Your trainer spots, scales, and progresses you safely.
Body-specific
Flexibility & mobility
Open up tight hips, shoulders, and a stiff spine. Slower pace, deeper stretches, mobility work tailored to where your body actually needs it.
Body-specific
Post-PT transition
Cleared by your PT but not ready for the group floor? We bridge the gap. Modifications around your injury, careful progression, and clear communication with your provider if helpful.
Performance
Athletic conditioning & recovery
Sport-specific power, agility, prehab and recovery. Built around your sport, your season, and your demands — not a generic workout.
Life stages
Prenatal
Trimester-aware programming. Pelvic floor work, safe core engagement, modifications for changing balance and energy. Designed to support you through all three trimesters.
Life stages
Postpartum
Returning to movement after delivery (vaginal or C-section). Diastasis check, pelvic floor reconnection, gradual return to strength on your timeline.

FAQ

Common questions

What's the difference between Solo, Duet, Trio, and Quartet?
They're named after the number of people in the session. Solo is one-on-one with a trainer. Duet is two clients sharing one trainer. Trio and Quartet scale up to 3 and 4 people respectively. Per-person pricing drops the bigger the group.
Does everyone in a duet/trio need to be at the same level?
Roughly, yes. The trainer builds one session for the group, so the more aligned your levels and goals are, the better the workout for everyone. If there's a meaningful gap, your trainer may suggest splitting into separate sessions or alternating focus.
Can I use my membership class credits for a private session?
No. Privates are billed separately from group classes. Memberships and class packs cover group reformer classes only. Privates use their own pricing structure (single sessions or session packs).
What's the cancellation policy for privates?
We ask for 24 hours notice for private session cancellations. Late cancels or no-shows are charged at the full session rate, since we've held an instructor and a reformer specifically for you.
Why is Quartet only at West Midtown?
West Midtown has the floor space and reformer count to comfortably host four people in a private setup. Emory's smaller footprint maxes out at trios for privates.
Can I switch between Solo and Duet within a package?
Generally, no. Packages are tied to a format because the per-session pricing is different. If your situation changes, email questions@thestudiopilates.com and we'll work something out.
