Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: June 7, 2026

The Studio Pilates uses the Instagram Graph API to display our own studio's public Instagram posts (@thestudio.atl) on our website. This page explains what data we hold and how to request its deletion.

Short version: Our integration only stores our own studio's public Instagram posts (caption, image, link, timestamp) for display on our homepage. We do not collect, store, or process data about other Instagram users, your followers, your comments on our posts, or any third party. There is typically no personal data to delete.

What data we store

  • The most recent 9–12 public posts from @thestudio.atl, our own studio's account
  • For each post: media ID, caption, image URL, permalink, and timestamp
  • A locally cached copy of each image, served via our own CDN
  • A server-side access token belonging to the studio's app administrator (stored encrypted in our server configuration, never exposed publicly)

The cache is refreshed every 24 hours; older posts are automatically removed when they fall out of the latest-9 window.

What data we do NOT store

  • Information about anyone who follows our Instagram account
  • Comments or likes left on our Instagram posts
  • Profile information about any user other than our own studio
  • Messages, direct messages, or any private communication
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, or contact info from Instagram users

If you are the studio's app administrator

To delete the app's access to your Instagram Business Account and remove all cached data:

  1. Open Facebook Settings → Business Integrations
  2. Find "The Studio Pilates Instagram Integration" in the list
  3. Click Remove
  4. Email us at privacy@thestudiopilates.com requesting deletion of the cached feed. We will purge the cache and access token from our servers within 7 days and confirm by email.

If you are a member of the public

Because our integration only displays our own studio's public posts, we do not hold any personal data about you collected via this Instagram integration. However, if you have appeared in one of our posts and would like the cached version on our website removed (separate from the original post on Instagram, which only @thestudio.atl can remove), please contact us:

privacy@thestudiopilates.com

Include the URL or screenshot of the post you'd like removed from our cache. We will remove it from the next cache refresh (within 24 hours) and from our local CDN within 7 days, and reply to confirm.

How to confirm deletion is complete

After we confirm deletion by email, you can verify the cached data is no longer accessible by:

  1. Refreshing thestudiopilates.com and scrolling to the "Latest from the studio" section, the post will no longer appear
  2. Attempting to load the previously cached image URL, it will return 404 Not Found
