What to expect, step by step.

No surprises. Just good energy and a really great workout.

1

Book your Intro class

Before your visit

Head to our schedule and filter by "Intro" classes. Pick a time that works for you. Intro classes are designed specifically for first-timers with small groups (max 3 people) so your instructor can focus on you.

Tip: Book in advance! Intro classes fill up fast since group sizes are so small.
2

Arrive 10 minutes early

Day of class

Give yourself a few minutes to find parking, fill out any new-member paperwork, and settle in. Your instructor will greet you and show you around. No need to stretch beforehand. We'll warm you up.

Tip: Let your instructor know about any injuries, surgeries, or if you're pregnant. They'll modify exercises just for you.
3

Meet the reformer

First 5-10 minutes

Your instructor will walk you through the reformer: how the springs work, where to put your hands and feet, and basic terminology (carriage, footbar, straps). It looks complicated but it's incredibly intuitive once you're on it. Think of it as a sliding bed with superpowers.

4

Move through the class

The next 35-40 minutes

You'll work through a series of exercises targeting your full body: legs, core, arms, back. The springs provide resistance, so you control the intensity. Your instructor will cue every movement and offer hands-on adjustments if needed. It's okay to wobble. It's okay to rest. Everyone starts somewhere.

Tip: Focus on form over speed. Quality over quantity is the Pilates way.
5

Cool down & stretch

Last 5 minutes

The best part. You'll finish with gentle stretches on the reformer. This is where you realize your body just did something incredible. Take a breath. You earned it.

6

You did it! Now what?

After class

Your instructor can recommend what to take next based on how you felt. Most people move into Level I group classes with larger groups (10-14 people) at a beginner pace. You may be a little sore tomorrow (especially your abs). That's normal and means it worked.

Tip: Consistency is everything. Even 1x per week makes a real difference. Check out our memberships if you're ready to commit.

What to bring.

You don't need much. We've got the rest.

Socks

Grip socks are ideal but regular socks work. We sell grip socks at the studio too.

Bring

Water Bottle

Stay hydrated. You'll work harder than you think.

Bring

Comfy Clothes

Leggings + tank or tee. Avoid baggy clothes that catch in springs.

Bring

Good Vibes

That's it. We handle the reformer, the music, and the motivation.

We've got this

Feeling nervous? Let's bust some myths.

Things people worry about that are totally not a thing.

"I'm not flexible enough"
Pilates builds flexibility.

You don't need to touch your toes to start. The reformer helps you move through ranges of motion your body isn't used to, and that's the whole point.

"I'm not fit enough for Pilates"
Pilates meets you where you are.

Spring resistance is adjustable. Every exercise has modifications. We have members from age 20 to 70+. You're fit enough. Period.

"Everyone will be watching me"
Everyone's too focused on their own shaking legs.

Intro classes are max 3 people. And honestly? Nobody in any class is watching you. They're all trying to survive the same set.

"The reformer looks terrifying"
It looks scarier than it is.

Within 5 minutes you'll wonder what you were worried about. It's essentially a sliding bed with springs. Your instructor walks you through every single thing.
