Meet Minji
I have been practicing Pilates for nearly a decade and began teaching two years ago, after completing a comprehensive 500-hour training and apprenticeship program. I began doing Pilates during my recovery journey, after a car accident left me with a knee injury. I found that Pilates helped with muscle tone, strength, and overall health.
Minji’s Teaching Style? I build my classes based on activating and strengthening deep muscle groups. I focus on alignment and efficient movement that helps and protects the spine. I love to hybrid my classes with contemporary pilates and functional movement.
Minji’s Favorite Pilates Exercise? Short box ab series and standing reformer exercises are my favorite! You can really feel the burn after couple reps. Those are also great exercises challenging stability and balance.
Fun Fact: In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, and playing golf/tennis. I recently adopted two kitties, and I’m completely smitten with them. I’m originally from South Korea, and I’ve been practicing Pilates for decades. I truly believe that Pilates has enabled me to continue to run and thrive well.
Minji’s Playlist Might Include: I’m a big fan of Harry styles so you might hear couple of his songs!
“I’m excited to help you reach your full potential, and I look forward to meeting you at The Studio Pilates soon!”
