Meet Layah
I am a Pilates instructor and I love my job! I love meeting new students and hearing their stories. I would want clients to know that they can always approach me, talk to me, ask me questions. I have a high priority for your happiness and your feelings of being welcomed and accepted wherever you’re at in your movement journey, and my hope is to help you love your amazing body even more.
I love world travel. I grew up in a multi-ethnic immigrant family and I think that probably influenced my love of languages and cultures. I have traveled to about 30 countries so far and also spent extended periods of time in some of them, including Mozambique and Colombia. I have now combined my love of travel with Pilates to bring amazing retreats to the world!
Fun Fact: I’m also an Actor!
Layah’s Teaching Style? My teaching style is challenging but playful. I want my students to feel like they’re getting a great workout, but I also want them to have fun and enjoy themselves. I think it’s important to make exercise enjoyable so that people are more likely to stick with it.
Layah’s Favorite Pilates Exercise? I love articulative bridging! I love that it helps me build and strengthen so much of my body at once, challenges my coordination and balance, and I love the “massage-like” sensation when I lower down. It helps my spine and especially my lower back feel amazing!
Layah’s Playlist Might Include: Beautiful People by Ed Sheeran, anything by Shakira, some fun 90s throwbacks and just a taste of Persian music as well. 🙂
“If you’re looking for a Pilates instructor who is passionate about her work, welcoming and encouraging, and knowledgeable about the body, then I’m your girl!”
