The Studio Pilates ("The Studio," "we," "us," or "our") operates two reformer Pilates studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and the website at thestudiopilates.com. This document covers how we collect and use your information (Privacy Policy), the rules for using our site and services (Terms of Service), and the specific terms governing our text message and email programs. By using our website, signing up for classes, joining a membership, or opting in to our communications, you agree to these terms.

SMS & text message terms
The Studio Pilates operates a text message program that lets you communicate with our front desk team and receive important updates about your membership and classes. By providing your mobile number and opting in (described below), you agree to these terms.
Program description
You may receive the following types of text messages from The Studio Pilates:
- Customer service replies — responses when you text our front desk number
- Class & appointment reminders — pre-class reminders, waitlist notifications, schedule changes
- Membership notifications — billing reminders, freeze confirmations, account updates
- Promotional messages — new class formats, special offers, studio events (only if you've opted in)
How to opt in
You opt in to text messages by:
- Providing your mobile number when creating a Momence account or signing up for a membership
- Filling out a form on our website that includes a phone field (e.g., contact, freeze request)
- Texting our front desk number first to start a conversation
- Checking an SMS opt-in box during signup
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You can become a member or buy classes without opting in to SMS.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your activity with The Studio. Most members receive between 2 and 10 messages per month. Frequency may increase around membership renewal dates, promotional periods, or active conversations with our front desk.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to all messages sent and received. The Studio Pilates does not charge for the text message program itself, but your carrier may charge you for individual messages or your data plan.
Opt-out and help
You can opt out of text messages at any time:
Reply with any of the keywords above to our texts to be removed from our SMS list. You'll receive a final confirmation message and no further texts.
For help, reply HELP or INFO, or contact us directly:
Carriers and delivery
Our text message program is supported on most major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, Cricket, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier's network availability.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to opt in to our text message program. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder for the mobile number provided, or that you have the account holder's permission to authorize SMS messages to that number.
Privacy
Your phone number and SMS opt-in status will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We share your number only with the messaging service providers (Twilio and Momence) needed to deliver the messages.
For full carrier disclaimers and the complete program description required for compliance with the CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices, see this entire section.
Email communications
We send two categories of email:
- Transactional emails — receipts, class confirmations, freeze approvals, password resets, and other emails essential to your account. These continue as long as you have an active account, regardless of marketing preferences.
- Marketing emails — new class announcements, promotional offers, studio news, instructor highlights, and event invitations. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. Click it to be removed immediately. You may also email questions@thestudiopilates.com with the subject "unsubscribe" and we'll handle it manually.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails (receipts, account notices), which we are required to send to operate your account.
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and similar applicable email marketing laws.
Forms & submissions
Our website includes several forms. Each form collects only the data necessary for its purpose:
- Contact form — name, email, message; routed to our front desk team
- Freeze request form — name, contact info, membership details, freeze dates, reason; reviewed by front desk and management; tracked in our internal Google Sheet for processing
- Job application form — name, contact info, resume, video introduction, and role-specific questions; reviewed by hiring management
- Booking forms — processed through Momence (see their privacy policy for details)
- Class review forms — ratings and comments about your class experience
Information you submit through forms is used for the stated purpose and retained as long as needed to provide our services or as required by law. You can request access to or deletion of your submissions at any time (see Section 06).
