I was first introduced to Pilates in 2012 at my local gym in New York, but it wasn’t until my first pregnancy that I started practicing Pilates as a part of my lifestyle. I not only learned of all the great benefits of practicing Pilates during the pre and postnatal recovery stage; I have also experienced it! Since then, I’ve been on a mission to empower all women to thrive physically and mentally throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. The six principles of Pilates are breath, concentration, control, precision, center, and flow. My goal as a Pilates instructor is to help you to explore all six principles in each session. I became a certified Pilates instructor in 2022 and I am currently deepening her comprehensive teacher training through Balanced Body and Pre/Postnatal Certification through CES- Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist and apprenticing at The Studio.
Kemberly’s Teaching Style? Empowering & supportive focusing on form and breath. I try to encourage people to go that extra mile or hold a little longer.
Favorite Exercise? Short Spine! I’m a Glute + Ab girl, but Pilates is truly about whole-body movement. Short Spine is a great move that targets not only the abdominals and glutes but also the hamstrings, articulation of the Spine, and whole-body coordination.
Fun Fact: Sound Bathing has become a hobby i’ve grown passionate about. I started practicing Sound Bathing Meditation during my first pregnancy as a holistic method to ease my anxiety and connect deeper with the mind + body..
Kemberly’s Playlist Might Include: Drake: Search and Rescue Beyonce: 7/11 (but honestly ANY Beyonce song) Bryson Tiller: Still Yours
“I’m happy to answer any questions clients have after the class. It can be pilates related, personal etc. I want people to get to know me and I want to get to know you!”
We hope to see you soon at The Studio Pilates!
